About Us

Galaxy Health Medical Centre is a mixed billed clinic that is dedicated to providing you and your family with a variety of medical services. We are fully operating for 6 days a week with two male GPs,Dr Nay Thwin, Dr Wai Soe and a female GP, Dr Maisie Maung.

Our experienced general practitioners have a wide variety of interests, ranging from acute care, women’s health, minor procedures, chronic disease management, men’s health, skin cancer screening and management, weight management, early weeks antenatal care, mental health care, sexual health, childhood immunizations, preventative health such as cervical screening, bowel and breast cancer screening etc.

Galaxy health group can also provide private and commercial driving licence fitness assessments, pre-employment medical assessments, audiometric hearing tests, spirometry, urine drug screening, insurance medical reporting and Worker’s Compensation consultation. Moreover, Hearing Australia is a partnership with Galaxy health group, providing free hearing screening for all ages and services for hearing aids. We are conveniently located next to the Woolworth shop in the Byford Marketplace compound. Previously it is named as Occufam medical and is currently under the new management of Galaxy Health Group.

Our clinic will be updated all types of consultations including telehealth (phone consults) to

  •  Mixed billing on weekdays

  •  100% private billing on weekends. (The fees will be applied for all the weekend appointments)

  • Covid-positive isolation patients will be bulk billed for a phone consultation.

Bulk billed categories on the weekdays after registering with MYMEDICARE.

Fees:

For weekdays

The standard appointment will be $50 for private fees, with a Medicare rebate of $41.20

The long consult will be $87 for private fees, with a Medicare rebate of $79.70

For weekends

The standard appointment will be $75 with a Medicare rebate of $53.65

The long consult will be $115 with a Medicare rebate of $92.00
